Mr. Eldon Griffiths

asked the Secretary of State for Transport (1) whether the British Transport Police have recruited up to their authorised establishment;

(2) whether he has any plans to increase the strength of the British Transport Police.

Staffing matters such as these are for the Railways Board, which controls and administers the British Transport Police.

asked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make available to hon. Members a copy of the last report of the Chief Constable of the British Transport Police.
