HC Deb 25 February 1977 vol 926 cc735-6W
Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many of those who escaped from Her Majesty's Prison, Magilligan, in March 1975 have been recaptured; what additional sentences were imposed; how many are still at large; and whether the latter include Mr. Daniel Joseph Keenan whom the Letterkeny District Court directed to be handed over to the Royal Ulster Constabulary in an extradition order subsequently revoked on appeal.

Mr. Concannon

One young prisoner who escaped from Her Majesty's Prison Magilligan in March 1975 was recaptured on the same day and dealt with under the internal prison disciplinary procedure. Mr. Daniel Joseph Keenan was the only other prisoner to escape from the prison during March 1975, and he is still unlawfully at large.
