HC Deb 25 February 1977 vol 926 c722W
Mr. Donald Stewart

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how much of the £120 million announced to assist the deprived areas of Glasgow has been spent to date; and on what projects.

Mr. Hugh D. Brown

I assume the hon. Member is referring to the Glasgow East End Project which is now under way. Substantial expenditure has not yet been incurred though work will start this year on projects for building or rehabilitating houses, community projects environmental work and the provision of small factory units and recreational facilities.
