Mr. Henderson

asked the Lord Advocate how many copies of each of the following newspapers are purchased every day by his Department in order to keep himself and senior civil servants informed on Scottish affairs: the Scotsman, the Glasgow Herald, the Press and Journal, the Daily Record, the Scottish Daily Express and the Dundee Courier and Advertiser.

Of the newspapers listed, one copy of theScotsman and of the Glasgow Herald is purchased daily by my Department in London; one copy of the Scotsman, the Glasgow Herald, the Daily Record and the Scottish Daily Express is purchased daily by my Department in Edinburgh.
