§ Mr. MacGregorasked the Secretary of State for Employment what evidence he has been accumulating of the state of morale and motivation of British management, foremen and supervisors; and whether he will receive representations on those points with a view to taking into account those aspects affecting pay in his consideration of the next stage of the pay policy.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerI have received representations from the Confederation of British Industry, the British Institute of Management, the Institute of Personnel 201W Management and many others about the need for restoration of incentives for managers, supervisors, and foremen, and more generally, and have noted the published results of some recent surveys relevant to this matter.
