asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much has been invested in manufacturing industry and index of production industries, respectively, since 1970.

The following table shows gross domestic fixed capital formation in manufacturing industries and in all index of production industries respectively at current and at constant 1970 prices for each year from 1970 to 1975 and for the first three quarters of 1976. Estimates are not yet available for the fourth quarter of 1976.
