§ Mr. Biggs-Davisonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations have been made to Botswana about the harbouring and transfer elsewhere of members of, and recruits to, guerrilla forces engaged in aggression against Rhodesia with loss of British lives; and with what result.
§ Mr. RowlandsHer Majesty's Government are in close touch with the Botswana authorities on problems posed by the situation in Rhodesia. It is a matter of very grave concern to Her Majesty's Government that the lives of British subjects in Rhodesia should be at risk. It is for this reason that they will continue to bring home to all the parties in the present conflict the urgent need for a negotiated settlement in Rhodesia.
