Similar statistics for the known first employment of 1974–75 CNAA graduates from 27 of the 30 polytechnics in England and Wales are: industry—1,687; accountancy, banking and finance—193; other commerce—363; universities and further education establishments—126; schools—35; public service—923. In addition, 566 entered courses of teacher training.
