§ Mr. Edwin Wainwrightasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many mentally handicapped boys and girls are on the waiting list, at the latest available date, to enter medium security units in each of the Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster Area Health Authority districts.
§ Mr. MoyleIt is not envisaged that children or younger adolescents will be admitted to regional secure psychiatric units save in exceptional circumstances. I am informed that no children or adolescents have been identified by the Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster Area Health Authorities as suitable for admission to the Trent Region's secure units when these are established.
