§ Mrs. Chalkerasked the Secretary of State for Wales what grants his Department has given to voluntary bodies in each of the last three years; what grants he expects to make in total in 1977–78; and 837 if he will detail the current projects in receipt of grants from his Department.
§ Mr. Barry JonesGrants paid by the Welsh Office in 1976–77 and the two preceding years were as follows:
579WIt is expected that the grants paid during the current financial year, including those taken over from the Development Commission, will amount to some £810,000. Included in this figure are grants to the majority of the bodies which have received grant in earlier years, together with the following organisations:
- Welsh Institute of Mental Subnormality,
- Welsh Women's Aid,
- Voluntary Bodies Aided by the Development Board for Rural Wales,
- Urdd Gobaith Cymru (Welsh League of Youth).
- Rural Councils,
- Royal National Eisteddfod (Contribution to cost of new pavilion),
- National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs.
