Mr. Macfarlane

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the centres of sporting excellence already in use, with the sports which are featured there, and announce a list of centres which he expects to designate as centres of sporting excellence.

As I said in my reply to the hon. Member on the 22nd April 1977, some centres meeting the requirements of such centres have been in existence for many years.
