HC Deb 13 December 1977 vol 941 c130W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) whether he will give the individual or collective costs of the five committees of inquiry into the wages and conditions of employment of firemen held since 1966; and what were the payments made in salaries or expenses of the chairmen and members of these committees of inquiry;

(2) whether he will give as much information as may be readily available, without incurring disproportionate costs, concerning the extent to which the five inquiries into the hours, wages and conditions of firemen held since 1966 have been implemented either wholly or in part.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

I am writing to my hon. Friend.
