§ Mr. Sproatasked the Minister of Overseas Development if she will itemise each grant and loan and aid in kind, to any country or organisation whatsoever, whether in the United Kingdom or overseas, listing the country or organisation to which it was given, indicating whether it was a grant, a loan with interest, at what rate, or a loan interest-free, for each month in the last 12 months; and what announcements of aid were made in each of those months for aid which has not been given yet.
§ Mrs. HartFor details of expenditure for overseas aid including information on all current grants and loans, the recipient Governments and organisations, and the terms agreed for loans, I would refer the hon. Member to the Appropriation Accounts Class II Vote 8. New commitments are reported to Parliament, and my information Department also issues Press announcements. The cost of assembling and providing information on a monthly basis for the last 12 months would be disproportionate to the effort involved.
