HC Deb 21 April 1977 vol 930 c134W
35. Mr. James Johnson

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress has been made in the negotiations between the EEC and the USSR regarding fishing quotas in their Arctic waters; and whether he is satisfied with the progress up to the present time.

Mr. Tomlinson

Negotiations on a framework fisheries agreement between the Community and the USSR are currently taking place in Brussels. Good progress has been made, though I am not able to say when an agreement might be concluded.
