§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how much finance has been allocated by his Department for grants to voluntary bodies in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, respectively, in 1976–77 and for 1977–78.
§ Mr. MoyleUnder Section 64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968 the amount allocated by my Department to voluntary organisations in 1976–77 was £3.15 million, and, as my right hon. Friend announced at his meeting with voluntary organisations on 23rd June 1976, provision for 1977–78 has been increased to £5 million. The figures relate only to England. I am asking my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, who also have responsibility for the distribution of grants to voluntary organisations, to write to the hon. Member about their respective allocations.
