HC Deb 07 April 1977 vol 929 c640W
Mr. Corbett

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many tenants of agricultural tied houses have (a) applied and (b) been granted local authority housing under the Rent (Agriculture) Act 1976.

Mr. Armstrong

The information is not yet available, but arrangements to collect it on a regular basis will shortly be discussed with the Housing Panel of the National Local Government Statistical Liaison Committee. A rough indication of the position can be derived from the fact that by 1st March the advice of agricultural dwelling housing advisory committees has been sought in connection with 130 applications for rehousing under the Act.
