asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what are the top four salaries of the staff of each of

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the annual cost in wages, upkeep and maintenance of (a) structure and (b) contents, heating and lighting, of the Wallace Collection the Tower of London, Victoria and Albert Museum, Ham House, the National Portrait Gallery and Edinburgh Castle.

(2) what are the numbers of staff and what are the numbers of rooms open to the public in each of the stately homes under the guardianship of the Department.
