HC Deb 07 April 1977 vol 929 c638W
Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish in the Official Report the number of registered houses in multiple occupation in each of the wards of Brent, South and the penalty for failing to register; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Armstrong

Information about the number of registered houses in multiple occupation is not available in the Department. The Housing Act 1969 provides that the penalty for conviction, for failure to register a house in multiple occupation in areas where a registration scheme is in force, is a fine not exceeding £10.
