What steps have been, or could be taken to safeguard the nationality and entitlement to passports of those who, by a particular incidence of public service of their parents whether in the Forces or otherwise, have been born in foreign or old colonial countries and are in consequence treated as nationals of such, with great complications when they want to travel overseas or abroad.
§ Lord HARRIS of GREENWICHA citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies in the service of the Crown under Her Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom is able to pass his 163WA citizenship automatically to his children born abroad, and the process continues to subsequent generations provided in each case that the child's father is in Crown Service at the time of the birth. In this respect Crown servants have some advantage over people otherwise employed overseas.
