§ Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) whether the materials being used in the scheme for roof insulation, through the Job Creation Programme and his Department, include materials containing asbestos;
(2) whether operatives, participating in the roof insulation scheme, through the Job Creation Programme, are all supplied with appropriate face masks when using insulation materials containing asbestos; whether proper precausions are observed when such material is cut; and whether operatives are given full, written instructions about the need to be careful when working with asbestos materials, especially in confined spaces.
