HC Deb 22 November 1976 vol 919 c998W
Mr. Powell

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps are taken to verify the genuineness and correctness of certificates of vaccination and inoculation carried by persons arriving in the United Kingdom by air from India: and in how many cases in the latest convenient 12-month period such documents have been found to be spurious or seriously incorrect.

Mr. Moyle

No steps are needed because persons arriving in the United Kingdom from India have not since 12th May 1976 been required to hold valid vaccination certificates against smallpox and there are no other requirements for certificates.
