HC Deb 22 November 1976 vol 919 c892W
Mr. David Price

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what has been the identifiable public expenditure per head of home population for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland for each financial year from 1970–71 to the latest year.

Mr. Robert Sheldon

I would refer the hon. Member to my right hon. Friend's replies to the hon. and learned Member for Dover and Deal (Mr. Rees) and to my hon. Friend the Member for Bedwellty (Mr. Kinnock) on 1st December 1975 [Vol. 901, c. 477–8] and 12th November 1976 [Vol. 919, c. 292–3] respectively. The latter reply shows estimates for England, Scotland and Wales only for 1974–75 and 1975–76. The corresponding figures for Northern Ireland are £757 and £1,031.
