HL Deb 22 November 1976 vol 377 c1750WA
Baroness HORNSBY-SMITH

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What steps they are taking to use more durable fabric for national flags in view of the reported short life and the high cost of cotton flags.

Baroness BIRK

Wool/nylon mixture has proved to be the fabric with the longest working life for national flags and is now invariably used.
