asked the Secretary of State for Trade what action he is going to take to curb the foreign imports of cars into the United Kingdom.

Mr. Meacher

Following inter-industry talks in July, the Japanese forecast that there would be no conspicuous change in their share of the market. We are keeping a careful watch on the trend of these imports as well as imports from other sources.

Mr. Hal Miller

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what discussions are being held by him either through the EEC or directly with Comecon countries import duty is imposed on cotton yarn and woven cotton cloth by South Korea. Taiwan, Argentina and Brazil.
