§ Mr. Corrieasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether EEC funds are available for specific projects, such as a pasteurising plant to ensure that milk is brought up to the standards required by EEC regulations, which come into force in 1980.
§ Mr. BishopUnder Regulation EEC/ 17/64 the EEC Commission gives grant aid to individual projects which promote the objectives of the Common Agricultural Policy. Such grants have been awarded to a number of investments in the United Kingdom milk processing sector. I am not aware, however, of any EEC regulations on milk standards which will come into force in 1980.
