HL Deb 15 November 1976 vol 377 cc1107-8WA
Lord DE CLIFFORD

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether intensive fur farming of fox and mink is subject to licensing under the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976.

Lord HARRIS of GREENWICH

A licence under the Act is required to keep—whether or not that keeping takes the form of intensive fur farming—any fox, except the common red fox. No such licence is required for mink.
