§ Mr. GoldingAlthough there are some areas in the country which experience both high unemployment and low pay, the statistics of earnings and unemployment in different regions maintained by my Department do not suggest that there is any direct correlation between these two variables either between or within regions.
§ Mr. Canavanasked the Secretary of State for Employment (1) what is his estimate of (a) the number and (b) the percentage of unemployed young people under the age of 21 years in central London; and whether he will give a breakdown of that figure by age and sex;
