§ Mr. OakesIn 1975–76 there were some 100,300 students following courses of teacher training in colleges and polytechnic departments of education in England and Wales. Of these, 3,589 were in Manchester Polytechnic and colleges in the borough. As regards the proposals for 1981, I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer my right hon.
