HC Deb 11 November 1976 vol 919 c261W
Mr. Henderson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many applications from which local authorities and for what amounts have been received by him for special assistance in meeting oil-related expenditure; and what his decision was in each case.

Mr. Gregor MacKenzie

Applications for special financial assistance are in the form of estimates of expenditure on a variety of infrastructure projects. It would not be practicable to detail every aspect of each application submitted by local authorities. The table below gives details of the provisional settlements reached in the two years during which the assistance has been made available.

The level of assistance for 1977–78 is at present being considered.
