§ Mr. Banksasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list the sums spent on the building of community centres by way of (a) grants and (b) loans for each of the previous six years by convenient area definition.
§ Mr. MoyleLocal authorities do not need to obtain loan sanction specifically for community centres and many centres are provided by voluntary organisations in some cases with assistance from public funds. I regret that no information is held centrally which would show how much has been spent on providing community centres.
