Arrangements under which the Department advised the local planning authority on applications for development affecting proposed minor improvements to the A646, notably at Todmorden, Hebden Bridge and Luddendenfoot, ceased in 1971 when those proposals were shelved pending consideration of schemes of a more major nature.
