HC Deb 02 November 1976 vol 918 cc527-8W
Mr. Sainsbury

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether Her Majesty's Government have at any time received requests for assistance from the United States Government in relation to an offence committed against Section 9 of the United States Endangered Species Act 1973.

Mr. Marks

To the best of my knowledge there has been no formal request for assistance. Officials are, of course, in contact on these matters, especially in connection with the Endangered Species Convention to which both countries are parties.
