HC Deb 02 November 1976 vol 918 cc569-70W
Mr. Geraint Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for Wales what plans exist for industrial development in the rural area of the Conway Valley to the south and south-west of Glan Conway Corner, Glan Conway, Gwynedd; and whether he will give an undertaking that approval of any such development will not be considered before all local objectors have had the fullest opportunity of expressing their views thereon, preferably by way of a public inquiry.

Mr. Alec Jones

I understand that the county council is considering acquiring a site of about 10 acres for industry at Glan Conway Corner but that no planning application has yet been made. It would be premature to give an undertaking about the need for a public inquiry.
