Mr. Jim Marshall

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will publish in the Official Report the total Government funds allocated to universities for research in each of the last five financial years, broken down into contributions to each university from the research councils and Government Departments in the form of grants, and from the UGC within the recurrent grant.
