HC Deb 28 May 1976 vol 912 c415W
Mr. Stonehouse

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department why Mr. Roy Came, a prisoner in Her Majesty's Prison, Dartmoor, is being kept in solitary confinement in an unfurnished room for 23 hours a day; and when he will be given psychiatric treatment.

Mr. John

Mr. Came is not in solitary confinement: he is a patient in a room in the prison hospital which, for his own protection, has limited furnishings. He spends two or three hours a day out of his room and is able to associate with other patients. A place is being sought for him in a psychiatric hospital.
