HC Deb 28 May 1976 vol 912 cc466-7W
Mr. W. E. Garrett

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if, in the light of the fact that the main British consumer organisations and the Food Manufacturers' Federation have made representations protesting that the Weights and Measures etc. Bill has been postponed and that discussions on the implementation of metrication have been shelved, she can indicate what is the future Government timetable in these circumstances.

Mr. John Fraser

I have nothing to add to the reply I gave yesterday to my hon. Friend the Member for Newham, South (Mr. Spearing) and the hon. Member for Macclesfield (Mr. Winterton).
