§ Mr. PrenticeDisbursements from the aid programme to all African countries are detailed for the years 1970–1974 inclusive in "British Aid Statistics", a copy of which is in the Library of the House. It is hardly ever appropriate or effective to use the threat of withdrawal of aid as a political lever.
