HC Deb 06 May 1976 vol 910 c457W
Mr. Morgan

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether, for the purpose of enforcement in Wales of the Sheep Scab Order 1938, he will arrange for the provision of mobile dipping vehicles and plant in order to obviate the expense to farmers of transporting large numbers of sheep to fixed dipping accommodation.

Mr. Strang

It is not Government policy to provide such facilities. Under the farm capital grant scheme, however, we are able to make contributions towards the cost of fixed sheep dipping equipment. We will also attempt to identify the owners of mobile dipping equipment which can be hired or shared by flock owners and to make the information available locally.
