§ Rev. Ian Paisleyasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what was the total amount of variable premiums paid to fatstock producers in Northern Ireland for cattle marketed (a) through the meat packing plants and (b) through the livestock auction markets during the past 12 months.
§ Mr. Concannon,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 3rd May 1976; Vol. 910, c. 264], gave the following information:
The total amounts of variable premium paid in Northern Ireland for cattle marketed during the year ended 27th March 1976 on (a) a deadweight basis and (b) through livestock auction markets are as follows:
(a) Deadweight—£5,432,333.11(b) Liveweight—£4,487,127.27
