§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Trade what progress has been made in the negotiation of an international tea agreement; and what level of prices are envisaged when such an agreement is successfully concluded.
§ Mr. DeakinsConsultations with Commonwealth tea-producing and consuming countries were held from 8th–10th March in London. The delegates agreed on the need for international action on tea and discussions will be continued at the meeting of the FAO Intergovernmental Group on Tea in April. The question of agreed price levels for tea would be for consideration at the time of the negotiation of any agreement.
