asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will make a statement on the arrangements whereby Sir Richard Dobson is to undertake the duties of Chairman of British Leyland, the hours he intends to spend per week on the task, and the people to whom he will report.

No. The details of these arrangements are matters for the British Leyland Board consulting the National Enterprise Board as appropriate.

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what representations were made by the trade unions organising workers at British Leyland concerning the appointment of Sir Richard Dobson as Chairman of British Leyland.
