HC Deb 04 March 1976 vol 906 c729W
Mr. Bradford

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when the housing scheme to replace the temporary bungalows at Taughmonagh, which has been accepted in principle by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, will commence; and how many dwellings will be erected.

Mr. Concannon

The Northern Ireland Department of Housing, Local Government and Planning has approved in principle the erection of 128 new dwellings at Taughmonagh on that part of the estate previously occupied by 58 aluminium bungalows. The Housing Executive is currently considering tenders for the scheme and I understand that it may be possible to start work within a month or two. In addition, the Executive proposes to provide 45 timber-framed largely factory made houses at Taughmonagh as part of a wider examination of the suitability of such houses for more general use in Northern Ireland.
