HC Deb 04 March 1976 vol 906 cc703-4W
Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on guidelines laid down by the Scottish Office for SDA activities in industrial projects.

Mr. William Ross

As I told my hon. Friend the Member for Aberdeen, North (Mr. Hughes) on 1st March, copies of the draft guidelines are now available in the Library.

Mr. Sillars

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish a supplement to the White Paper on public expenditure showing more clearly than the White Paper where finances have been transferred to the SDA from other agencies and how much of the SDA's £200 million five-year budget is actually additional resources.

Mr. William Ross

I refer to my reply to the hon. Member for Glasgow, Cath-cart (Mr. Teddy Taylor), on 2nd March. Taking account of entirely new activities, and the greatly increased provision for inherited functions, about 75 per cent, of the £200 million five-year budget for the SDA represents additional resources over those provided in 1974–75.—[Vol. 906, col. 422.]
