Mr. Biggs-Davison

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many terrorists and suspected terrorists have been killed by the security forces; and how many members of the security forces have been killed by terrorists.

Mr. Merlyn Rees

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 1st March 1976; Vol. 906, c. 449], gave the following information:

On the first part of the Question I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave the hon. Member for Londonderry (Mr. Ross) on 12th January 1976.—[Vol. 903, c. 86.]

From 1969 to the present date 377 members of the security forces have been killed on operations in Northern Ireland.
