HC Deb 02 March 1976 vol 906 cc529-30W
56. Mr. Jim Spicer

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what are the arrangements currently in force for reciprocal medical treatment in EEC countries of those residents of the United Kingdom classified as self-employed.

Dr. Owen

Bilateral agreements with Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany and Gibraltar provide for urgent medical treatment for self-employed visitors under the same terms as those applying to their own citizens. The possibility of providing urgent medical treatment for self-employed visitors in all EEC countries is under discussion in a Community Working Party.
