§ Mr. Clinton DavisDuring the past week I have received eight complaints about noise disturbance from aircraft based at Hamble, night flying in particular being mentioned. We are already discussing with the college authorities what further noise abatement measures might be introduced and we shall certainly take these further representations into account. However, the old-established College of Air Training performs an essential function and, given the residential development that has been allowed in the vicinity of the airfield, it will be difficult to devise new measures that will improve the situation substantially.
