§ 15. Mr. Georgeasked the Secretary of State for Employment what provision in the form of skillcentres is being made for training in the West Midlands.
§ Mr. GoldingI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that new skillcentres were opened at Wolverhampton on 9th April and at Castle Bromwich on 28th May. The Training Services Agency is planning to establish a new skillcentre in Redditch and an annexe to the Wolverhampton centre at Telford New Town. When these projects and planned extensions at some existing skillcentres are completed the number of skillcentre places in the West Midlands will exceed 2,000.
