§ Mr. Craigenasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what discussions he intends to have with regional council and district council authorities in Scotland about local authority tenant evictions for rent arrears and the respective practices of their social work and housing management departments.
§ Mr. Hugh D. BrownVarious measures to help avoid such evictions were suggested to local authorities in SDD Circular No. 2/1974. The Morris Committee on links between housing and social work also made relevant recommendations, and I am considering these in the light of observations recently received from the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities.
