§ Mr. Maddenasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection to what extent her authorisation is required for expenditure on refurnishing of premises, meals, installation of wine cellars and other incidental expenses by the Price Commission.
§ Mr. MaclennanThe provision and furnishing of accommodation for the Price Commission is a matter for the Property Services Agency of the Department of the Environment. Responsibility for authorising the Commission's day-to-day expenditure rests with the Commission itself subject to the usual arrangements for the control of public expenditure.
