§ Mr. Dudley Smithasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what are his proposals for the fees to be charged in connection with the implementation of the National Type Approval Regulations (S.I., 1976, No. 937); and whether these proposals can be made known in advance of the last time for formal objection so that there can be adequate parliamentary and public discussion of the issues involved.

Friend's proposals for fees in connection with the Motor Vehicles (Type Approval) (Great Britain) Regulations were made available to the public on 30th January last and comments have been invited from representative organisations.
